Be careful what you wish for. IMO, regulation and legalization will push all non-US operators out of US (it will be legally enforced), and Las Vegas will enter business full-force. Their need for affiliates will be a lot less than what the current operators require, due to their outstanding brand name recognition, and their need for affiliates will exist, but to a lesser extent. I can see Las Vegas paying affiliates $ 20 - $ 25 CPA's only, through a commoditized mechanism like Commission Junction. The industry will change radicly, if legalization occurs.
I vote to keep things the way they are now, for as long as possible. Obviously, UIGEA did irreparable damage, but be careful for what you wish for. |
