Hi all and thank you for coming in.
Recently Mojo brought up a subject that I haven't visited for a while and it seemed now was good a time as any to revisit. How do you feel about getting exlcusive bonus offers from the sponsors? Personally I feel it opens up a whole new can of worms which we don't need but I do feel its much more ethical than any kind of rebate site. that said however I would like to know which programs are offering some of their affiliates better deals than others because that kinda pisses me off that I would have to approach each individual program to be certain that I'm getting the best offer possible for my players. Its just another hassle we don't need and its a big one. Yet apparently if you don't take this step then you risk offering your players less than the next guy. I would like to see some programs step up and say that we don't need to contact them ... that they are giving everyone the same best possible offer to give our respective players. how do you feel?

I kinda agree and disagree with you, Steve. How's that for fence sitting?
On the one hand, I agree with your point that affiliates should all be offered the same things - as these are the tools we use to do our job. On the other hand, it's a competitive market so you need to do everything in your power to differentiate yourself from the rest of the pack and if exclusive bonuses do that, then great. This is business, after all.

I have run a forum for 6 years now, and special promotions and offers are always asked for if you want a successful forum with lots of members, which in turn earns you money. So, if you want to keep your members from going elsewhere, you need to stay competitive and you have do get those exclusive promos, or special contests, bonuses etc.. For portals, getting special promotions help you to retain your visitors, and keep them coming back to your site for new programs, with your special promos, so i really believe that to stay competitive in this market, with so many other websites you have to offer some different and special, and if your willing to work with your affiliate programs, and they agree to give you those special promos, codes, contests, etc..then you would be kicking yourself right out of business by not taking it. And most AM's are very receptive to these marketing promos, and its available to ALL affiliates if they ask. Its just like here, GPWA, GIA, CAP, etc..when you see an AM offer affiliates extra % for signing up with there program from that affilate forum, no difference.

I also agree with Pat. I've never found myself in two minds about anything before but I seem to be agreeing with everyone on this issue.
I do find it tiresome, however, when I get hamstrung as a new affiliate. For example, I run a high traffic soccer website. I affiliated with Paddy Power and got the standard £10 free bet offer. The thing is...while my visitors to that site aren't really gamblers, there are a lot of them. Paddy Power didn't know this, so I got the standard £10 free bet offer. But my competitors in this space had £20/£25 free bet offers from Paddy Power. In effect, there was no point in my promoting this sportsbook as all my potential gamblers were getting a better offer somewhere else. Once PaddyPower were aware that I had some traffic, they approached me with a higher free bet offer - and they are - right now - on the home page of the site I'm talking about. Thing is : they could have offered the same free bet when I first affiliated with them. There was no loss on their side of the equation and only a gain on mine. Essentially, I want to be able to offer visitors to my site a worthwhile deal and if I find that I'm not able to do that...you're gone.

Very good post all of you!
I don't deal with to may special offers although I do take advantage of one once in a while. I fight more for a higher comission rate instead of a freebie or at times I'll take both if it is convenient. I guess it all depends on your approach to promoting. In the end, I really don't want a spcial deal, just a solid program like Rewards that I feel does all they can to retain players and help convert new ones.

Why thank you Joe! lol
But hun, on your forum, isn't it worth having those special deals for your players , to keep them depositing at your casinos, and get new members to start depositing? It works for me, whenever i have the time to invest the effort into my forum. lol
