I guess I just don't get the whole reason / purpose for the friend request.

I know who my friends are, they know who I am ... so what's the purpose?

I have figured out the reason for it at facebook, if you don't want just anybody looking at your photos etc.

but like here and other forums ... seems like to me that this is building walls, not opening doors.

Further is that I bet I could spend a week just requesting/going thru the process of establishing who all are friends because as far as I know ... the friends thing is done separately at each forum you visit.

Why I'd drive you guys crazy just requesting at the number of forums we frequent now ... I shudder to think how this could grow expotentially.

And like i don't have enough guilt/worry about what I miss already (being adhd) ... without worrying if I forgot to add someone.

Crap I'm having enough trouble worrying about whether I got all the promises I made for Christmas .. done, something like this would drive a person mad.

I'll finish this post in an apology to anyone who might feel slighted over the friendship requests thingy because I'm surrendering before a shot is fired ... I know I would fail miserably at including everyone I would want, not too mention that I guess I'm like old Will Rogers who never met a man he didn't like ... I never met a person that we couldn't be good enough friends to get along or if we didn't like each other that much .. that between the two of our's "friendship" ... that we couldn't find a way to both live long happy lives without ever bothering the other.

I have that feature on 2 sites. For me its pretty easy, I invite all new members to be friends as part of a welcome.

I gets out of hand with some people though. They want to be friends with everyone just so they can clain to have the most friends lol.

Whats Guilt and how do we get rid of it? lol.
