I am reading that "Estonia" has legalized online gaming but i don't have a clue where this place is??? Never heard of it, and is it a place that is viable to market to?

btw Pat, I came in here expecting this to be spam.

I guess there's a fix for the spammers but it requires filling out one of those image verifications ... every time you post. How do you feel about that?

I think, [i may be wrong, there is always a first time..lollll] that Ronda added a spam key called "Ecaptcha"...is see it there now and never saw it before..[could be that i am just freaking blind] and the idea of having to post an image every time we post...sucks...lol....so lets see what happens with this spam key and if it works...if not...then we will need to move on to something else...if this is ok with you?

Hi,

I wish you luck on finding something else.

it does suck having to do that every time.

I"m all for if you find something else tht works.

We've tried the one way, when the spam was getting thru.

That obviously is unacceptable. People were coming here to turn off their accounts.

The having to image verfiy every time is in my book, just as unacceptable, but of the two, based on the complaints I was getting. i'd rather have to deal with the image''

Does Estonia count as Western Europe as PDJoe suggests?! It seems very East from here.

It's one of the Baltic states along with Lithuania and Latvia. These were former Soviet satellite states.

I don't know a huge amount about Estonia, but both Lithuania and Latvia have a very practical approach to being part of the European Union.

I remember seeing the Lithuanian ambassador on TV being asked about how it felt to be part of the European Union.

His response : "well, we tried Communism and that didn't work for us, so we'll give this a go".

The term Eastern Europe was initially coined as a political term to represent the split between Europe down the middle of Germany.

Estonia in geographic terms is really more Northern Europe than eastern Europe in that it is closer as an example to what are considered "western European" capitals like Berlin than say Moscow in the East.

It is certainly Eastern Europe within the EU however Europe extends for a couple of thousand miles east of Estonia deep in to Russia.

I suppose in the strictest sense it is North East.

But Estonia and to some extent the likes of Bulgaria, Hungary, Rumania, Poland, Slovakia and The Czeck Republic are still known as Eastern European countries when spoken about in Europe which seems to be a remenant of the cold war.
