Default CR stats + rentention rate

I has been over 2 years now that CR has been added to my sites.

With over 11,000 players (amongst them are a lot of freebie hunters) i find it very strange I see some days where 0 players have played.

example : 04/25/2009 58 23 11 0 0 $.00 $.00

Second is see much lower amounts wagered than usual.

For my the rentention rate I see a steady decline (a lot of US customers stopped playing) in numbers while sending new players every month.

May : 36 active players of which 1 US
April : 68 active players of which 7 US
March : 41 active players of which 5 US
February : 44 active players of which 2 US
January : 58 active players of which 8 US
December : 47 active players of which 9 US
November : 91 active players of which 22 US
October : 79 active players of which 27 US
September : 74 active players of which 34 US
August : 54 active players of which 20 US

I hope you will post some numbers too so we can compare.

Needless to say I am not doing well with CR anymore but things can reverse.

When I look at several MG affiliate program stats I see the number of US players decreasing month after month, so I am wondering why MG affiliate programs do not treat those as gold members as there are no new USA signups possible ?

Hey mate

I did mention these things this morning in our chat, but thought I should reiterate them here otherwise it will look like I'm not caring about your post.

As everyone is aware, the world is in a state of financial crisis right now, and believe it or not, online gamblers are part of this.

I made about 50 phone calls last week to US players who were not playing anymore (this is part of my effort to get affiliate's players back playing by the way) and of the ones who actually answered the phone or who's number was not disconnected, either told me to f*** off, or said they just didn't have any money to play anymore.

It's a reality that most people in the world are also suffering from no money and are being very strict with their spendings, so while it might look like it's our group that's failing you, I'm sure if you looked across the board you will see it's not just us (and you did confirm this to me too).

Obviously this wont be the case with everyone since there are some people out there who are benefiting from the current status of the global finances.. and sometimes there are just other reasons why people don't want to play anymore. We are definitely getting the whole company behind the retention right now though, so you can be sure that we are trying our best to keep your players playing.

Personally I am shocked that so many people told me to go jump when I told them they had an account with us and were able to play since they are not able to open a new account at any MGS brands anymore. I suppose some people just aren't interested

Renee, i don't envy you, that does not sound like a "fun" part of your job.

Thank you for looking out for your affiliates and at least trying to get the ball rolling with old players. Its a lot more than what some other groups are doing, which is nothing!

I guess the same thing that happened to bad mortgages is supposed to happen to credit card debt. Around 180 billion worth. Apparently the banks bundled credit card debt and sold them to investors as well.

I read the banks are bracing for some serious write offs. Might be wise to save those commissions in case they dry up.

How many players deposit using a visa/mc check card vs. a credit card?

Hi all (R & R)

RA has been outstanding for me in comparison to other programs that I relied heavily upon and they haven't shown near the effort that Renee has ... in fact she's outdone them by simply showing up to post here.

Which is a sad commentary considering I have been with some of the places for near 10 yrs or more.

I'd compare stats with you but I'm old school rev share so I don't have a lot of stats to share.

..........

Renee, I know why you're so mis-treated on the phone or I have my suspects anyway...

I made the mistake of buying some xanax at an online pharmacy a couple of times and now I get (seriously) up to 20 calls a day from the bastards who obviously sold my info to apparently EVERYBODY ... so now all I get are phone calls from people who can't even speak my language well enough to carry on a conversation ... asking do I want refill?

I suspect there are some casinos following suit? Not lumping CR in with them but it would surely explain the harsh treatment.

its one thing to get a call now and then although its incredibly stupid from my POV because too often whether its gambling or ***** ... a spouse is doing it ... with preference their mate didn't find out. If I had been hiding it from my mate ... I'd get the doghouse every day ... sometimes multiple times ... because these A-holes won't quit calling.

What amazes me most is these moron's greed is likely costing them more than if they let it alone ... yes I'm sure they get their share of refill orders but I also strongly suspect that anybody who doesn't reward annoyance ... has chosen to NOT buy or support on line any more because of what it results.

I haven't bought any from them since this annoyance started and now I'm extremely rude to them when they call.

Its actually a great stress reliever. Some days when I'm pissed at the missus ... I'll be sitting there waiting for them to call ... akin Al Bundy and his baseball bat ... hoping this time at the door its going to be a J-Witness.

*nothing against that religion. I just know a funny when I see it and it cracks me up every time when the doorbell rings and Al grabs his bat and says ... Man I hope its J-Witness ... good stuff!

When the opportunity came up for me to do some extra work outside my regular hours to help get these players back, I jumped at the chance because I thought it would be "a piece of piss" (popular saying in Aussieland - means it would be very easy), but I've found that after spending no less than 20 hours on this so far, it is actually a lot harder than I thought..

So I have to give massive kudos to our retention team. They really do a great job on the players they get back to the casinos.

Either way I wont give up.. If my emailing and phoning wont work, I'm going to start sending them personal letters via snail mail.

At least you guys can put your faith in me that I actually am putting in the extra work to try to get your players back myself.

The other issue is chargebacks.

Unfortunately a lot of US players spend the money, then realise they shouldn't have so just charge it back. This hurts the bank, it hurts us, and it hurts you guys. The problem with US players doing chargebacks is that the bank then knows what to look out for to block all transactions of that type. So it ends up also hurting other players.

Hopefully things will turn around in the close future and we will start to see a lot more players getting back on their feet and deciding they have money to play again.

If I call and the person I'm looking for doesn't answer the phone, I tell the person who answered that I'm Renee and I'm calling from an online rewards program that they are a member of. This is pretty ambiguous. I'd never tell the person on the end of the line where I'm from. The last thing I want to do is ruin someones marriage. Of course if they spoke to me for 2 minutes I would be able to ask them if I can say where I'm calling from when I call, or if I should call at all.. so far I haven't been able to get that far with many of them.

Just gotta keep trying!

PS I love married with children and have all the series on dvd at home.

My favourite episode was when they were playing a game in the kitchen with Marcy and Jefferson and it was about love and marriage and Bud was skydiving to impress a girl and Al was giving him shit about it. So Al lands on something that says he has to make love to Peggy for an hour or something so the next thing you see is Al laughing hysterically in a plane and jumping out without a parachute..
Love it.
