What??? That is the name? Flash poker {dot}??? I Goog'd it and saw a listing but it was a dead click. Will the fools never quit? <-- rhetorical question.

I forgot about Stars, played some sng's there and blew 1/2 my roll at the cash tables. Never cared much for the mega site. Just my personal feeling.

Pulled the whois and it is registered by someone in the UK. Original date of 2001. Perhaps it was a skin of pb? I know they had begun to skin out to a few sites last year. I think tropical poker was one, but they are gone and there was a sports bet site that used the software too but I can't remember who for the life of me. But if the main site is done I reckon the skins would be too.

I actually visite the flashpoker site weeks after pitbull went into banner farm mode. Just to confirm the ownership claims made in the thread at PAL. The site was live then.

I personally think that AP and UB were made out to be industry scapegoats, and overall, were unfairly punished. Were mistakes made there ? No question. Was it a scam run and implemented by the entire companies ? No, way. It was inside jobs, promoted by just a few. Every large company has unscrupulous personnel like this. The bottom line is that they rectified the situation, reimbursed those effected (OK, maybe somewhat reluctantly), and they are on solid footing.

I have never had a problem either as a player or as an Aff, with either platform. I think they paid their dues here, and should be absolved of their prior misdemeanors.

Thanks Terry, very interesting info at pal... reckon that may be why the police were allegedly involved? Who know in CR, such a wild west.

The AP, UB scams were perpetrated by the owners (or past owners depending who you believe) - that to me is what makes their crimes so hideous. Unscrupulous employees is one thing, unscrupulous owners is another.

Very true, And they admitted to some things, what else is going on? I am very cynical and not naive enough to realize that they prob. only admitted to 10% of what was going on. Most thieves and criminals (and I put them in that league) will only admit to what can be found and predominantly admit to an average of 10% of what actually occurred.

And a misdemeanor is gone once you pass a certain dollar amount, in Virginia it is $250 then it is a felony.
