I played all the games in that series, made points 8 of 13 games +/-, finished 18th on the LB, was 10th until I crapped out in the final two games missing points in one by 4 places . I did hit one game @ 6th place for $133. Had several other cashes and made a tidy profit in the series.

We won't talk much about the event final.... I will say I was in the top 50%, just was totally off my game that night.

Atleast you made yourself a profit though,...congrats!

I have been making the tourneys over at poker stars, I'm a newbie, but enjoying myself alot except the idiots that go "All In" pre flop....pisses me off, they do it every single hand!!

I do like Omaha hi/low and this other game I tried Bagui? Have you ever played it? [probably spelled it wrong..lol]

I tried Badugi once, went into a micro stakes cash game and took some fools money. He did not bother to rebuy, just left.... have not played since. It is not a difficult game to learn. Perhaps when I have a bit of free time I'll give a MTT a try. A-4 rainbow is the nuts, I have done a bit of reading on it in a few poker magazines.

I dabble in Ohmaha, holdem is still my best game. I have weekly Omaha games and in August will be having private 7 Stud games (now that's poker)!

I almost jumped in the America's Cup at Stars, just too many people for my taste. And in any freeroll, you are gonna get the coin flip players. One of the reasons I shy away from them. That and I am not one to waste five hours and come away with pocket change. I left that world in 2007.

The Double Up sit n Go's at Stars, Cake network and now Merge network can be rather profitable, 10 enter and the top 5 double their buy-in. Play it tight and very selective and it is a cake walk to a win and a double up. Just don't play when drunk, you wind up on the losing side too many times. . The games take about 30 minutes as they end when you get to the top 5.
